Lithography Series

five single-impression lithography prints, using vinyl plotters, my trusty fish, acid etching, tusche, and garamond, this series done for my family. made in an effort to express years of love and tenderness.

i'm terribly proud of these prints; they represent what has amounted to years of hard work and fascination with an incredible process.

I

A house surrounded by hills, rivers, trees, and matched
to the bright blooming sky of Winter night —
close to speech.

In it, letters I made up to spell their names.

II

What birds do,
                       to match
piou

III

And the ground lays unfirm.

IV

Stretch grounds, or
cut through seeped floors.

Rubbing stares
found
like only you know
how,
to turn rumble
into rocking.

Simmer slow.
Summers then must've been
barely even.

Thought — in strands — like
strained hurry
to carry me so.

V

I heard that,
sometimes,
fugitive clouds succeed
at relaying a message
that can be seen,
reflected in soft waters —

those same ones
that flow, low
and gentle, along screams
of crises and calm bouts.
